Kingston SSDNow V300 120GB SATA 3.0 SSD

FS-Mark was the first test profile ran and when dealing with 5,000 files of 1MB size spread across four threads, the Kingston SSDNow V300 performance was coming right in line with the OCZ Vertex 2 SSD. The high-end OCZ Vertex 3 yielded much faster results. Obviously though even this $90 Kingston SSD is a huge performance win over any of the hard drives tested.

With a more intense workload dealing with multiple sub directories, the Kingston SV300S3 performance pulled back further behind the Vertex 2 but still ahead of the older and economy-class Solid 2 SSD.
