NVIDIA vs. AMD Linux Performance For GRID Autosport

While GRID Autosport has a built-in benchmark mode and even dumps the benchmark information to an XML file, sadly there are no command-line switches to automate this testing process. Thus the tests done today were carried out manually. Unless the Linux port ends up getting patched in the future with benchmark CLI support, today's article and tomorrow's follow-up open-source driver tests will be the only tests to be carried out on Phoronix of GRID Autosport before this game is retired from the Steam library for benchmarking.

The rest of the test system for today's article was an Intel Core i7 5960X Haswell-E, 16GB of RAM, 120GB Samsung 850 SSD, and Gigabyte X99-UD4-CF motherboard. Tests for this article were done with high and ultra image quality settings at both 1920 x 1080 and 3840 x 2160.
