A One Year Redux On The Basement Computer Room For Benchmarking 50+ Systems Daily

All of the daily benchmarking conducted at Phoronix continues to cost $300~400 USD per month in electrical costs with midwest energy prices... Noticeably more in the summer due to all of the air conditioning. Generally around 3,000+ kWh. However, with retiring some of the older systems that are more power hungry and less efficient, this summer will hopefully be more economical.

All of the systems for benchmarking on their automated, routine basis continue to be done via our open-source software with the Phoronix Test Suite and Phoromatic.

Thanks to the power of Phoronix Test Suite and Phoromatic with not having to interact with the systems on a constant basis manually, noise isn't much of an issue with managing most of the systems from the front office:
