Linux 5.8 has seen a lot of general improvements as well and on the previous cycles since Linux 5.4 as currently shipped by Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. The autumn Linux distributions like Ubuntu 20.10 are also moving to GCC 10, which is more good news for the AMD EPYC 7002 series considering there is the optimized Zen 2 compiler target support making that next round of tests even more interesting.
