When benchmarking the Flexible I/O Tester, NILFS2 was the slowest file-system in its default configuration against the seven other tested file-systems. EXT3, EXT4, XFS, JFS, and ReiserFS all were the front-runners while F2FS, Btrfs, and NILFS2 were the slowest Linux file-systems during this benchmarking test.

For the FS-Mark test profile, NILFS2 was still the slowest file-system of the eight file-systems tested. At least here ReiserFS was keeping NILFS2 company as the slowest file-system compared to the rest.
