The Phoronix Test Suite is cross-platform with Linux, BSD, Solaris, Mac OS X, and Windows. The Phoronix Test Suite can also scale from running on all devices from ARM-based Nokia N900 smart-phones to desktops and servers whether they are x86/x86_64 or PowerPC and SPARC systems too. Likewise, OpenBenchmarking.org is fully supportive of all operating systems and platforms where the Phoronix Test Suite is supported. The Phoronix Test Suite has been adopted near universally by tier-one IHVs and ISVs. Up to Phoronix Test Suite 3.0 / OpenBenchmarking.org, Phoronix Global provided the results aggregation support.

OpenBenchmarking.org is designed to be collaborative, allow users to compare their system's performance seamlessly across the web, and allows projects to crowd-source benchmarking.

The next-generation Phoromatic will be fully compliant with the OpenBenchmarking.org API.
