GCC 5.0 Outruns LLVM 3.5 Compiler By A Bit On Core-AVX2
For the SciMark2 micro-benchmarks the performance is very close between GCC 5.0 and LLVM Clang 3.5. In some tests, GCC is slightly faster than Clang while in other SciMark test-cases it's just the opposite.
There's no big changes in SciMark like in some compiler benchmark results from months ago where Clang had a more dominant lead in some workloads.
