Days Away From Branching, How Mesa 17.2 RadeonSI Performance Compares To Mesa 17.1
BioShock Infinite is much faster on both graphics cards with Mesa 17.2-dev than Mesa 17.1.4. In part BioShock's big improvement with Mesa 17.2 is due to the gl_thread support and BioShock Infinite being one of the white-listed games.
The Civilization VI Linux performance is also much better with Mesa 17.2 and is another game that benefits from gl_thread. However, Civ VI could still benefit from greater optimizations when looking at its current frame-rates in comparison to NVIDIA on Linux.
Civilization VI with its high quality settings at 1080p can barely hit above 30 FPS on either AMDGPU+RadeonSI combination with Mesa 17.2.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive sees a small but still noticeable boost in performance with Mesa 17.2.
