Civilization VI on Linux remains in a rather poor performance state. The R9 Fury and RX 480 only inch past a GTX 1050 while all the higher-end NVIDIA cards are CPU bound for this 1080p highest quality run yet barely pass a 30 FPS average for this demanding built-in game benchmark.

And a look at the frame-times with Civilization VI...

With DiRT Rally at least the RX 480 is performing close to the GeForce GTX 1060. But the Radeon R9 Fury is coming up short. As mentioned in another recent article, the Radeon R9 290 graphics card is still running in a regressed state for some workloads.
