Dota 2 even at 1280 x 1024 is still not really playable with this current generation Core i5 8400 processor. The Vulkan performance was a few frames behind the OpenGL results.

The CPU usage while running Dota 2 tended to be lighter with the Vulkan renderer but there were higher CPU spikes when using Vulkan..

When hammering Dota 2 harder with the Intel UHD Graphics by trying 1080p, the outcome was similar.

The Mad Max results are a bit more competitive with some scenes having closer Vulkan vs. OpenGL frame-rates and in the stronghold scene the Intel ANV Vulkan performance inching ahead. But still even at a low resolution this Feral ported Linux game really isn't playable on the HD/UHD Graphics.

The Mad Max CPU usage was noticeably less when using the Vulkan renderer! While the frame-rates weren't too different, the lower CPU overhead of Vulkan definitely lives up to its promise in this testing.
