MSI X99S SLI PLUS On Linux

Linux Testing:

I've now been running the MSI X99S SLI PLUS successfully for the past several weeks ever since receiving the replacement motherboard courtesy of MSI. After running into the initial faulty motherboard, MSI was quick and easy to work with and received a new motherboard for testing. Since receiving that motherboard to ensure there's no issues with the board I've been pounding it very hard: I've used it as my main Phoronix Test Suite development rig where I'm working on new PTS/Phoromatic/OpenBenchmarking.org code and routinely verifying new test profiles/suites, etc. It's basically been running benchmarks near continuously for several weeks now.

The system configuration where the motherboard has been stressed from under Linux has been primarily comprised of an Intel Core i7 5960X Haswell-E processor, 16GB of RAM (4 x 4GB Corsair DDR4-2133MHz), Crucial CT128MX1 128GB SSD, and a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 graphics card (along with swapping out various other components over time). The two most-tested Linux configurations was Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and then Fedora 21 with all development updates using the Linux 3.17 kernel, etc.

Via the Phoronix Test Suite I've run some Linux comparison benchmarks against another X99 motherboard on hand and used the same components. The other motherboard test was from the Gigabyte X99-UD4-CF.
