Nouveau Linux 4.5 vs. NVIDIA OpenGL Performance: Open-Source Not Up To Par

With the Tesseract game, the GTX 680 manages to perform quite well on Nouveau compared to the NVIDIA proprietary driver. The GTX 650 also did well, but the GTX 760 and GTX 780 Ti continued to perform poorly on Linux 4.5 + Mesa 11.2-devel.

While Team Fortress 2 is largely CPU bound, in part due to this the performance between Nouveau and the proprietary NVIDIA Linux driver is fairly competitive.

When running Xonotic with low image quality settings, the performance was again not too bad for the Nouveau driver.
