GeForce GT 220: The GeForce 200 series was NVIDIA's tenth-generation GeForce family. The NVIDIA binary Linux driver from the start has well supported this family of NVIDIA GPUs. In late 2010 and 2011 the Nouveau stack has fairly well supported this generation of NVIDIA graphics processors with kernel mode-setting and Gallium3D acceleration. There are occasionally some hiccups, but it is usually not too bad of support coverage.

The GeForce GT 220 was launched in October of 2009 and is based upon the GT216 core. The GeForce GT 220 is set to run at 625MHz. The XFX GeForce GT 220, which was another graphics card I had bought, boasted 1GB of 790MHz DDR2 video memory. This full-height PCI Express graphics card was cooled by a small active heatsink.
