Antergos, Manjaro, CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora & OpenSUSE Performance Showdown
The time to compile ImageMagick was roughly the same between Linux distributions with no major differences.
With the PBZIP2 compression test, Antergos and Manjaro were both at the back while the XFS-based CentOS and openSUSE were leading.
With the very simple Smallpt path-tracing benchmark, Antergos and Manjaro were again the slowest. Smallpt performance can be highly affected based upon the compiler.
Well, those are the results to share today from this large Debian, Ubuntu, Manjaro, Antergos, openSUSE, Fedora, CentOS Linux comparison. If your distribution isn't doing as nicely as you'd like, feel free to investigate and reproduce the results via the open-source Phoronix Test Suite software and share your data via the forums and OpenBenchmarking.org.
