The only 2D test run where the Nouveau driver offered better performance over the binary NVIDIA Linux graphics driver was the GtkPerf GtkComboBoxEntry test.

Similar tests of the open vs. closed-source Radeon graphics processors on Linux will be done in the days ahead. Of course, there will be plenty other interesting Linux graphics tests this month still ahead with the Linux 3.16 kernel DRM improvements, continued work on Mesa, etc. Stay tuned!
