Some Early Tests Of The Eclipse OpenJ9 Java Virtual Machine

The Hotspot/OpenJ9 benchmark results from the dual Xeon Gold Tyan server were roughly similar proportions to the Core i9 testing:

OpenJ9 as an open-source community JVM project is still in its very early days, so it should be interesting to run some Hotspot vs. OpenJ9 benchmarks again a few months down the road to see how the performance compares. Stay tuned and if you would like to contribute some new Java benchmarks to the Phoronix Test Suite for the next round, contributions are welcome.
