In some of the tests like of OpenMandriva's librsvg library and Ruby-based Optcarrot, the Znver1 build of the Linux distribution was providing some benefit.

But in the end after running 45 tests across the varying configurations, the overall outcome was basically a wash. In testing a select number of packages there were some minor advantages to using the Znver1 build of OpenMandriva but no dramatic differences we have yet to see at a high level. But in any case we hope OpenMandriva does continue working on this Zen optimized build and continues exploring more ways to advance the AMD performance. Perhaps with time we'll see AMD engineers more aggressively pursuing Linux performance optimizations in a similar manner to Intel's work on Clear Linux.
