I hope you enjoyed this first look at the OMAP4460 PandaBoard ES. While this dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 platform was generally not competitive with the Intel Atom hardware or the outdated Pentium M and Core Duo systems, some of the results were rather surprising (such as C-Ray) and positive about the future of ARM's performance.

If you would like to see how your ARM or x86 system compares to these PandaBoard ES numbers and the other tested hardware, with the Phoronix Test Suite installed it's just a matter of running phoronix-test-suite benchmark 1112277-AR-OMAPCORTE46 -- that will facilitate a direct comparison to the results found in this article in a fully automated manner from test setup to execution and result analysis.
