Benchmarking The Low-Cost PINE 64+ ARM Single Board Computer

For some initial Phoronix benchmarks of the PINE 64+ 1GB, I compared the performance to a Raspberry Pi 3, Raspberry Pi 2, Raspberry Pi Zero, Banana Pi M2, ODROID C1 Plus, Orange Pi PC, Orange Pi Plus, Jetson TK1, and Jetson TX1. Next week I will be having some more benchmarks to include with the ODROID C2.

A variety of benchmarks were run via the open-source Phoronix Test Suite benchmarking software. At the end of the article are the OpenBenchmarking.org details if you want to run your own open-source, automated benchmark comparison.

PINE64 1GB ARM SBC Arch Linux Benchmarks

The PINE 64's closest competition for these ARM SBCs is the $35+ Raspberry Pi 3. The Raspberry Pi 3 also relies upon a quad-core A53 1.2GHz processor and has 1GB of RAM.

It will be interesting next week to see how the PINE 64 1GB compares to the ODROID-C2.

In Smallpt, the PINE 64 with its Arch Linux install ended up being much faster than the Raspberry Pi 3 with Raspbian Jessie.
