6-Way RadeonSI OpenGL vs. RADV Vulkan Comparison
Lastly is the landmover scene with Mad Max where the RADV results were still out ahead of the rest.
With Serious Sam Fusion 2017 at low quality settings, the RADV Vulkan performance was much faster than the RadeonSI results.
When running with ultra image quality settings, it was a very tight race and is where the RADV performance was about equal to RadeonSI.
The CPU usage in the different scenarios was roughly similar. The RX 460 Vulkan results aren't available since the testing ended prematurely due to the Serious Sam troubles. For some of the cards like the R9 290 and R9 Fury and RX 580, the peak CPU usage was lower when running with Vulkan rather than OpenGL.
I'll have some relative OpenGL vs. Vulkan results for Intel ANV / RADV / NVIDIA coming up in the next few days. Don't forget if you enjoy all of our tests to take advantage of Phoronix's 13th birthday deal to help support the testing efforts.
