Benchmarking The Raspberry Pi 400 - A Raspberry Pi Keyboard Computer

Pricing on the Raspberry Pi 400 keyboard computer is set to start out at $70 USD while the 4GB version we were testing is to retail for about $100 USD. The Raspberry Pi 400 should begin retailing today with the embargo lift having just happened.

Given it's still the same Cortex-A72 quad-core design as the Raspberry Pi 4 but with slightly higher clock speeds, it's not too different in terms of benchmarking. Most curious to me was how the thermal performance was compared to other recent Raspberry Pi single board computers.

I ran some benchmarks of the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B, Raspberry Pi 4 Model B, and this Raspberry Pi 400 keyboard computer. The Raspberry Pi 3/4 had after-market cooling to help during testing while the Raspberry Pi 400 is obviously stock with it having its aluminum passive heatsink built into the keyboard.

Via the Phoronix Test Suite various benchmarks were run from the 64-bit Raspbian build across all tested devices.
