Besides the great CPU improvements with the latest Ryzen mobile processors, the integrated graphics performance has evolved very well going from Vega to RDNA2 and now RDNA3 with the Ryzen 7040 series.

The power efficiency of the PRO 7840U within the ThinkPad P14s Gen 4 was behind the PRO 6850U inside the ThinkPad X13 Gen 3, but again they are different laptop models and in any event the 7840U power efficiency is still well ahead of where it was in Zen 3 and prior.

GravityMark benchmark with settings of Resolution: 1920 x 1080, Renderer: Vulkan. Ryzen 7 PRO 7840U was the fastest.

The GravityMark Vulkan benchmark was useless with the integrated Vega benchmarks but has now become actually runable on the latest RDNA3 integrated graphics.

The RDNA3 integrated graphics with the Ryzen 7040 series delivers some very nice performance improvements while running atop AMD's well regarded fully open-source driver stack for Linux.
