AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D Linux Gaming Performance
For some games under Linux with these processors there wasn't any obvious difference in raw performance but the significantly lower power consumption of these X3D processors was at least nice to see as well as the lower thermals.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider is one of the Linux-native games brought over by Feral Interactive and where it has enjoyed AMD 3D V-Cache going back to the original Ryzen 7 5800X3D. At 1080p with medium settings the Ryzen 9 7900X3D was faster by about 7% over the Ryzen 9 7900X -- not as significant as the 15% jump from the Ryzen 9 7950X to 7950X3D.
To no surprise the 3D V-Cache processors led with the best performance-per-Watt for this Linux game.
