SanDisk 64GB Serial ATA 3.0 SSD On Ubuntu Linux
The SanDisk 64GB SDSSDP-064G-G25 is still running well ahead of the Samsung SSD that was benchmarked yesterday.
The SanDisk SSD performed well for the Threaded I/O Tester compared to the Kingston and Samsung solid-state drives covered in the previous days.
The SanDisk SDSSDP-064G-G25 ended up performing better than the 120GB Samsung 840 EVO solid-state drive in this round of Ubuntu Linux benchmarking and the results were mixed against the Kingston SSDNow V300 120GB SSD that was also reviewed this week. The 64GB SanDisk SATA3 SSD ended up costing $62 USD retail while the Kingston SSDNow V300 cost $70 USD for the 120GB SSD. Therefore, at the end of the day if I were in need of several low-cost solid-state drives again, I would most likely be buying the Kingston SSDNow V300 solid-state drives.
