The Seek Thermal does indeed work.

I'm mostly curious about the Seek Thermal for improving the efficiency of the server room and detecting other areas for improvement around the house.

In the utility room with a furnace running and looking at the hot/cold pipes.

I'll have more to report back on once having used the Seek Thermal for some time. If you are curious about this device to turn any Android smartphone/tablet into a thermal imager, you can find it for around $250 at Amazon where it's currently listed as the #1 best seller for thermal imagers and there are 262 customer reviews with a four star rating. The Seek Thermal for iOS retails for the same price.
