SilverStone Fortress FT02

The left side of the FT02 is bare as the side window (on the SST-FT02B-W and SST-FT02S-W) is on the right hand side due to the rotated motherboard design. At the back of the case is a vent area with dust filter similar to the Raven RV02 for allowing any power supply intake fan to pull in fresh air. On the right hand side is then the acrylic window that shows off much of the enclosure's innards except for the drive bays. Rather than being bare silver like in most cases, all internal surfaces in the case are colored black to look much nicer with in the windowed environment. Like the Fortress FT01, the FT02 also has padded side panels to help in noise dampening.

When opening up the side panels (by popping off the cover at the top of the FT02 and then removing two thumbscrews per panel), there are the three 180mm intake fans. Like the RV02, the FT02 has easily removable dust filters covering these fans and the fan speed for these three fans can be adjusted independently at the top of the case for switching between 700 and 1000 RPMs.

The five 5.25-inch drive bays are tool-free and feature a mechanism similar to that on the original Fortress case. The five 3.5-inch drive bays are rotated and positioned between the first 180mm fan and the 5.25-inch drives. One 2.5-inch solid-state drive can also be easily fitted into the Fortress FT02.

SilverStone's new Fortress supports Micro ATX and ATX motherboards up to 12-inches by 11-inches in size as well as SSI CEB products. A standard ATX power supply is to be mounted vertically next to the motherboard similar to the second generation Raven. This case can handle graphics cards or other expansion cards up to 12-inches in length.
