The internal layout of the SilverStone Kublai KL03 isn't far off from the Temjin TJ05 and a few other cases on the market. What's noticeably different though about the KL03 layout is the bottom portion of the drive bays. On the TJ05 and other models, the 3.5" drive bays were rotated 90 degrees and using plastic rails for a tool-less and screw-free design. With the KL03, the 5.25" drive bays continue to the bottom of the chassis but there is the hard drive cage that allows a 120mm fan to be mounted at the front of the chassis and this cage is also tool-free and accessible from the front. Drives in this cage are even hot-swappable if using the SilverStone CP05 adapter. There is one CP05 adapter included with the Kublai KL03 for both Serial ATA power and data connections.

In addition to the metal arm on the KL03 offering two 120mm fan slots for added cooling capabilities, this arm also has adjustable sliding mechanisms for better securing cards installed in any of the expansion slots. The pre-installed 120mm SilverStone fans with the case all sport a 3-pin power interface, which we are happy to see as opposed to using 4-pin molex connections.

The SilverStone Kublai KL03 can accommodate micro ATX motherboards up through extended ATX/SSI products.
