Examination:

From the front, the Precision PS02 looks reminisce of other SilverStone product lines we previously have reviewed. The PS02 is not too flashy and gives off a feeling of good quality. This case though is not nearly as unique as the Temjin TJ10 nor the same appearance as their more expensive products.

On the front of the Precision PS02 are four 5.25" drive bays, one 3.5" drive bay, the power buttons and LEDs, and front panel ports. The front panel ports include two USB 2.0, microphone, and headphone jacks. There is no Firewire or eSATA connectivity with this case.

On both sides of the case are simple side panel doors with the SST-PS02B lacking a window on the left side panel. At the top of the case there is room for a single 80mm or 120mm fan to be mounted, but no fan comes preinstalled. At the bottom of the case are four very small case feet that are just made out of plastic. Under the power supply mounting area is another area with room for an 80/120mm fan to line up with the power supply's air intake.

At the back of the SilverStone PS02 is a 120mm exhaust fan, seven expansion slots, and the power supply mount at the bottom of the enclosure. SilverStone has cut a few corners compared to their other higher-end cases in order to lower the cost of the Precision PS02. With the PS02, the expansion slot covers are not replaceable, which is actually the first time we have seen this from a SilverStone enclosure.

Inside the Precision PS02 it does not look like the usual SilverStone enclosure with an excellent interior, room for cable management, and various innovations throughout, but it is more along the lines of what you would expect to find in a run of the mill ATX chassis. The 3.5" and 5.25" drive bays are in their standard locations and are backed with these simple tool-free latches made out of plastic. Besides the power supply mount being at the bottom of the case, this is an ordinary interior.
