SilverStone Raven RVZ01: One Of The Best Mini-ITX Cases For Building A Linux/SteamOS PC

At the rear of the computer is the AC power connector that ends up being a cable routed to the SFX PSU area of the RVZ01, the mini-ITX or DTX motherboard rear I/O panel, and the two expansion slots. The two expansion slots are located parallel to motherboard tray. Included with the RVZ01 is a built-in PCI Express riser card for connecting to one of the motherboard's PCI-E x16 slots. The adapter is versatile enough that it should be able to fit into most any PCI Express x16 slot on mini-ITX motherboards. The RVZ01 sports dual Kensington lock slots for those wishing to physically secure their systems.

When opening up the Raven RVZ01 we have a much better understanding of its compact layout that's so extensible. Above the SFX PSU mounting area is a 3.5-inch HDD internal bay, an area for one 2.5-inch HDD/SSD, a separate area with dual 2.5-inch SSD/HDD bays, the slim-slot-loading optical drive bay, and the graphics card holder underneath the dual drive bay slots.

This SFF chassis can accommodate graphics cards up to 13 inches in length, up to a 5.88 inch width, and will work with dual-slot graphics cards. The case is designed perfectly to have just enough space for all the components within a 382 x 105 x 350 mm form factor.
