Moving inside the TJ04-E Evolution is where a majority of the changes have been made for this revised Temjin. The TJ04-E can now accommodate up to 15 HDD/SSDs, 17-inch graphics cards, the power supply is no longer at the top, there are more cable management possibilities, and other refinements throughout. While some of the newer SilverStone cases have rotated the motherboard tray by 90 degrees in the name of greater cooling, the TJ04-E motherboard tray remains in the conventional ATX orientation.

As far as cooling goes there is a 120mm exhaust fan on the rear, one 120mm intake fan on the right side panel, a second fan 120mm fan slot on the rear panel for an optional fan, one 120mm intake fan on the top with room for a second 120/140mm fan, and a 120mm fan slot on the bottom. The 120mm fans that are pre-installed spin at 1200 RPMs and at a noise level of 21dBA.

The four 5.25-inch drive bays for the TJ04-E are tool-less. The ATX/SSI-CEB motherboard tray does have a cutout in the aluminum for easily handling CPU cooler back-plates. There are also multiple pass-through holes in the tray for greater cable management possibilities.
