With proprietary software packages from the likes of Chaos Group's V-RAY to Indigo Renderer's IndigoBench, the System76 Thelio Major was delivering great performance.

Shifting over to more HPC-focused workloads, the System76 Thelio Major continued showing great gains with the Threadripper 7980X compared to the Threadripper 3990X model from 2020 as well as delivering slightly better performance than my DIY build based on the review kit.

For multi-threaded video encoding workloads there is great performance potential going from Zen 2 to Zen 4 Threadripper even while maintaining the same core counts. And achieving much greater performance-per-Watt with the new Zen 4 Threadripper processors.
