Our review sample of the System76 Bonobo Professional arrived in a large cardboard box that had quite a few Styrofoam peanuts while the actual System76 product box was sitting amid this layer of protection. Inside the basic notebook box was the laptop, a laptop bag, AC power adapter, a small tube of thermal paste, a VGA to DVI adapter, and a telephone cord. The thermal paste should not even be needed unless you are taking apart your notebook and its heatsinks... It is actually the first laptop we have ever received where there was a tube of thermal paste included, but System76 chose to include it for whatever reason.

Likewise, the notebook bag that arrived with our System76 is a simple notebook carrying case. There really is not anything special about it and we would prefer a bag from Swiss Gear any day to this laptop bag.

The included documentation with the System76 Bonobo Professional include a welcome paper that shows all of the prominent ports and keys on the notebook while the other paper was a quick-start guide. The quick start guide tells the user to plug-in and boot up, create your own user using Ubuntu's OEM configuration, and then explore and enjoy. Graphics are shown so the user can add/remove applications and add applets to their GNOME desktop.
