While Tomb Raider had the advantage on RadeonSI, when running Shadow of Mordor the AMDGPU-PRO 16.50 driver was offering better performance.

Under the Mesa tests, as explained in the earlier article, some of the cards would see the game hang. The RX 460 couldn't run with RadeonSI at 1080p high settings for this game but it did run without any hangs on AMDGPU-PRO.

With ultra quality settings is where the R9 Fury was even buggy on Mesa but fine under AMDGPU-PRO. The RX 480 performance was about the same under both drivers.
