Toshiba XG3 NVMe SSD Linux Performance
Similar to the Samsung 950 PRO, the Toshiba XG3 has fairly slow performance with SQLite that puts it behind even some of the cheap consumer SATA 3.0 SSDs.
In random reads the Toshiba XG3 comes out ahead of the SATA 3.0 SSDs but is behind the NVMe M.2 SSDs like the Samsung 950 PRO and Corsair Force MP500. The Intel Optane drive here performs the best with its good read performance.
The Toshiba NVMe XG3 is more competitive with its random write performance where it comes in only behind the Corsair MP500.
The sequential read performance is behind the more expensive NVMe SSDs.
While its write performance tends to be more appealing than the reads.
