Transcend Premium SSD TS256GSSD370S: Trying A $70 256GB SATA 3.0 SSD
Overall I'm quite happy with the performance of the Transcend TS256GSSD370S in buying this 256GB solid-state drive for just $70 USD. In the Linux disk benchmarks run, this SSD generally performed just behind the higher-end OCZ Vertex 3 and was faster than the other low-cost SSDs I've picked up recently for different daily benchmark systems conducting the fully-automated work at LinuxBenchmarking.com.
At the moment this drive seems to be selling for back up to $90 USD on Amazon.com but even still that's within the price range of other lower-cost 256GB SSDs. I'm quite happy with the purchase.
