Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Battles Fedora 17 On Intel Ivy Bridge
As is already known from previous Phoronix articles, C-Ray heavily benefits from GCC 4.7.
While C-Ray is faster on GCC 4.7, the updated GNU Compiler Collection causes a regression for Smallpt.
The rest of the results are largely uninteresting in comparing the performance of Fedora 17 and Ubuntu 12.04 LTS from the Intel Ivy Bridge system, but the results can be found in full at OpenBenchmarking.org.
