First up is the Unreal Engine 4 Atlantis Substance demo run at the common resolution of 1920 x 1080.

AMD NVIDIA UE4 Linux Graphics

Due to the Catalyst 14.12 troubles, this is mostly just a look at the NVIDIA Linux performance of UE4. To no surprise, the GeForce GTX 780 Ti and the newest GTX 970/980 GPUs were running the best.... For getting above 30 FPS at 1920 x 1080, the GeForce GTX 750 Maxwell GPU squeezed by but for 60+ FPS with this demanding demo you needed one of the high-end Kepler or Maxwell GPUs.

A look at the frame times as captured by libframetime and then rendered by the Phoronix Test Suite in a modified box plot form.

With the Phoronix Test Suite continuously polling a WattsUp Pro power meter during testing, the Atlantis results over the AC power consumption show just how wonderfully efficient NVIDIA's Maxwell GPUs are. Running far ahead in efficiency over the other GPUs were the GeForce GTX 750 and GTX 900 Maxwell graphics processors.
