Intel UHD Graphics 770 / Alder Lake GT1 Linux Graphics Performance
Next up are a number of Linux games running under Steam, with the same system and software stack.
Going from the Core i9 11900K to Core i9 12900K meant much faster graphics performance, but the Ryzen 7 5700G was still coming out ahead at least under Linux. For many of these games the UHD Graphics 770 still wasn't delivering playable performance at 1080p.
The Alder Lake graphics is much more capable than Rocket Lake, which already was a huge upgrade over the prior Intel Gen9 graphics, but still the Ryzen 7 5700G was showing much stronger performance even with using DDR4 system memory while Alder Lake enjoyed DDR5.
That's the initial look at Intel UHD Graphics 770 (Alder Lake S GT1) performance under Linux as of Linux 5.15 and Mesa 22.0-devel, stay tuned for more tests as the open-source driver support continues to mature.
