For anyone running applications or games still relying upon the GL_ATI_fragment_shader extension, this old OpenGL extension is now supported by all Gallium3D drivers.

One of the newer contributors to Mesa, Miklós Máté, has added today support for GL_ATI_fragment_shader to the Mesa state tracker that benefits all Gallium3D drivers.

ATI_fragment_shader was supported by the classic Mesa drivers back in 2004. Those wanting to remind themselves about this early fragment shader extension can visit the registry specification.
