In a surprise move and while Android Marshmallow adoption isn't yet too great, the first developer preview release of Android N is now available.

Google released an early developer preview of Android N today. Android N so far offers improved notifications, a split-screen view for some level of application multi-tasking, a picture-in-picture mode, more power-saving improvements, and more. Additional features for Android N are still expected with this just being a very early developer preview.

Today's Android N developer preview can be downloaded via the factory images page while the Android beta page is still 404'ing as of writing this quick article.
