Version 2.1 of the Audacity open-source audio editor/recorder has been released.

Audacity 2.1 is a big update to this popular, cross-platform audio software and it brings with it real-time previews of effects for LADSPA / VST / Audio Unit Effects. Audacity 2.1.0 also has improved noise reduction effect to replace noise removal, various other effects improvements, redesigned meter toolbars, spectral selection in the spectogram view, and many other changes. Of course, there's also lots of bug fixes too.
