Bluetooth 5 Specification Released

The Bluetooth SIG today announced the core specification release for Bluetooth 5.

Bluetooth 5 supports a longer range, faster speed, larger broadcast message capacity, greater ineroperability/co-existence with other wireless standards, and other improvements over Bluetooth 4. Bluetooth 5 also includes improvements around IoT device supoport and use-cases.

Bluetooth 5 enabled devices are expected to market in the next 2~6 months. More details on Bluetooth 5 via Bluetooth.com.
