Cinnamon 3.2 Desktop Officially Released

Earlier this month we wrote when Cinnamon 3.2 was tagged in Git while now finally the Linux Mint developers have formally announced this next version of their GNOME3-derived desktop.

Clement Lefebvre on the behalf of the Cinnamon / Linux Mint team announced the release of Cinnamon 3.2 in the lead-up to Linux Mint 18.1 that is shipping later this year.

The provided highlights for Cinnamon 3.2 include Qt 5.7+ support in the session manager, a iio-sensor-proxy rotation plugin, support for libinput touchpads, window management improvements, a complete rewrite of their screensaver code, new keyboard layout options, vertical panels support in Cinnamon, applet improvements, and various enhancements to their contained applications.
