Clutter 1.24.0 was released today in time for the upcoming release of GNOME 3.18.0.

Likely one of the most significant changes in the Clutter 1.24 tool-kit release is that it improves the embed-ability of Clutter into foreign tool-kits. For example, support has been restored for embedding Clutter inside GTK+ and for it to work on both Wayland and X11. Clutter on Wayland makes use of sub-surfaces now for dealing with the foreign window support. There's also been various GDK back-end fixes.

Clutter 1.24 also presents fixes for HiDPI, fixing compositor synchronization with the GDK back-end, and more.
