Johan Andersson, the technical director on Frostbite at Electronic Arts, has made it seem unlikely any of their popular games will be ported to Linux.

While I've been writing for years that EA lacks an exciting Linux strategy, Andersson pretty much confirmed it on the Frostbite side of things via a series of tweets over the night.

Johan responded about Frosbite games on Linux that they would be "very unlikely" due to "less then 1% of the potential audience, even Mac (which we don't support) is more than 3x larger. http://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey."

The tweets can be viewed here. Really it's no surprise but hopefully things will change once Steam Machines and SteamOS are commonplace.
