With Unicode 8.0 having been released last week, Fedora developers are planning on incorporating it into Fedora 23.

Unciode 8.0 has 41 new emojis, 5,771 new ideographs for Chinese/Japanese/Korean, and many other additions. Among the new emojis are a nerd face, robot face, unicorn face, lion face, and more. There's also now emojis for a hot dog, taco, popcorn, and cheese wedge. More details on the Unicode 8 changes via the Unicode blog.

Fedora's "beefy miracle" hot dogs can now be represented by an emoji with Unicode 8.0.

It's a very straight-forward change for adding Unicode 8.0 for Fedora 23 as outlined via the change proposal. More than likely this change to incorporate Unicode 8.0 will be approved without any issues.
