Another early feature being talked about for Fedora 26 is no longer installing the Syntaptics X.Org driver by default.

As a sign of the maturation of the Libinput input stack, which is used on Fedora by default for both X.Org and Wayland sessions, the once very common Synaptics input driver for supporting the touchpads on many Linux laptops is set to be removed.

Peter Hutterer is hoping to retire the synaptics xorg-x11-synaptics driver from the stock Fedora 26 install (and upgrades) while still having this X.Org driver in the F26 repository for those that may want/need the driver.

More details on the planned Synaptics driver retirement for Fedora 26 can be found via this Wiki page.
