Fedora Is Still Looking For A Diversity Advisor
Back in March there was the announcement of Fedora looking for a diversity advisor as a volunteer position to help promote diversity within this popular Linux distribution. Unfortunately it looks like their initial search didn't yield any suitable applicants so they're back to looking for more people interested in that position.
With the March announcement they had wanted applicants to apply by the end of March for this position that's focused on "[leading] initiatives to assess and promote equality and inclusion within the Fedora contributor and user communities, and will develop project strategy on diversity issues. The Diversity Advisor will also be the point of contact for Fedora’s participation in third-party outreach programs and events."
With that call for a volunteer diversity advisor not panning out the first time around, a similar announcement hit the wire this week. Those interested in the position have until 31 July to apply.
