For those making use of OpenGL and VDPAU together, there is better interoperability support within the Gallium3D VDPAU state tracker.

Gallium3D now has a new "interop" interface that makes use of DMA-BUF for sharing data between the Mesa and VDPAU (Video Decode and Presentation API for Unix) state trackers rather than using internal data structures for this task.

This work was led by Christian König of AMD. It's great to see AMD continuing to make improvements to the open-source video playback experience atop Gallium3D along with GPU video encode work too. This latest work will be found in Mesa 11.3.
