GNOME 3.17.4 Released

GNOME 3.17.4 is now available as the latest development release towards the September debut of GNOME 3.18.

Highlights of GNOME 3.17.4 are:

- Mutter better handling HiDPI on Wayland and compositor-side animated cursors.

- The four-finger swipe gesture for the GNOME Shell.

- Clutter adds event types for touchpad gestures.

- A new annotations side-bar was added to the Evince Document Viewer.

- Various fixes and improvements to the GNOME Control Center.

- Tiled monitors support in the gnome-desktop.

- Various Wayland and Mir back-end fixes for the GTK+ tool-kit.

- Cleanups and code improvements for the Gedit text editor.

- A number of minor enhancements to the GNOME Boxes virtualization UI.

More details on GNOME 3.17.4 can be found via the release announcement. Next on the path to GNOME 3.18 is the GNOME 3.17.90 Beta due out on 19 August. GNOME 3.18.0 should be officially released on 23 September.
